Founded in 1980 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer in Napa Valley, Rombauer Vineyards began as a small family project quickly earned a cult following, especially for their signature rich and creamy Chardonnay, now one of California’s most iconic wines.

Their philosophy is simple: make wines that bring joy. They focus on ripe, fruit-forward styles with smooth textures and balance. Grapes are hand picked, sorted with precision, and fermented gently using wild yeasts and natural malolactic fermentation. Oak aging is carefully managed to enhance depth without overpowering the fruit. Rombauer is also deeply committed to sustainability. Their estate vineyards are Napa Green and Fish Friendly Farming certified. They use solar energy, efficient water practices, and even graze sheep to manage vineyard cover crops.

While Chardonnay remains the star, the portfolio now includes Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir. All share the house style of richness, approachability, and a generous spirit. Still family driven until recently, the winery was acquired by E and J Gallo in 2023 with a commitment to preserve its values and winemaking team.

Texas-style BBQ Beef
Rombauer Zinfandel 2021 — Vibrant and juicy with blackberry, raspberry jam, and sweet spice. Soft tannins and a hint of mocha make this Zin smooth and crowd-pleasing. Bold but easy to love.

Red Velvet
Rombauer Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 — Structured and full-bodied with layers of dark cherry, cassis, cocoa and toasty oak. Firm yet polished tannins lead to a long, satisfying finish. A classic Napa Cabernet, both powerful and elegant.
